The Answer
Life is filled with many questions. Fortunately, God has taken the initiative to give us the answer to lifes most important question ... Where will I spend eternity?
1. God loves you and offers to you abundant and eternal life.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16 NLT).
My (Jesus) purpose is to give life in all its fullness (John 10:10b NLT).
2. But people are sinful and separated from God and from the life God offers.
For all have sinned; all fall short of Gods glorious standard (Romans 3:23 NLT).
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23 NLT).
3. Jesus Christ is Gods only provision for our sin. Through Him you can come to God and have the life God offers.
Jesus (said), I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me (John 14:6 NLT).
Christ also suffered when he died for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners that he might bring us safely home to God (1 Peter 3:18a NLT).
4. We must receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord through a personal invitation.
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12 NLT).
Look! Here I (Jesus) stand at the door and knock. If you hear me calling and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal as friends (Revelation 3:20 NLT).
You, too, can know the answer to the question of where you will spend eternity. Here is how you can receive Christ and experience peace with God:
-
Admit you are a sinner.
-
Commit to turn from a sinful lifestyle.
-
Believe that Jesus died on the Cross for you and rose from the grave.
-
Right now, through prayer, invite Jesus to come in and lead your life.
Heres how to pray.
Dear Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I turn away from a life of sin. I invite you to come into my life. I want to trust and follow you as my Savior and Lord.
In Jesus Name. Amen.
If you sincerely prayed this prayer, the Bible says:
Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13 NLT).
God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you cant take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it (Ephesians 2:8-9 NLT).
Now that you know the answer, how can you grow in this relationship?
Read your Bible and talk to God everyday in prayer.
Tell others about Jesus.
Be baptized, worship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Jesus is preached.
