Christians believe many things about wealth that aren’t biblical. Some comes from getting American cultural values mixed up with our faith. Other falsehoods come from preachers who treat the Bible like a manual on financial planning Ever heard a preacher say, “Jesus talked more about money than Heaven and Hell combined”? It’s not true. Jesus did talk about money quite a bit, but it wasn’t for the purpose of helping us afford our dream house. It was, instead, to show us that generosity brings joy and freedom to us, and glory to Him.
