Good New, Great Joy
The way we celebrate Christmas, with its relentless pressure to be happy, can leave many of us feeling empty. It’s really a symptom of the false promises of our world at large. But what happened at the first Christmas offers us more than sugary sentiments and high credit card bills. Jesus came to bring us Good News of great joy. What is that? How is it different from what we call “happiness?” And how can we make it something we experience year-round?
