Sam Houston Elementary Partnership

We here at First Baptist Conroe are partnering with Sam Houston Elementary. This school is just a couple of blocks north of our church campus. They have many needs, and we’re determined to help them out any way we can.

We are in our fourth school year of partnership with Sam Houston Elementary School. Over the course of that time, we have been able to provide mentors for students, support for their teachers and staff, and a number of other things that have helped them out in big and small ways! We want you to know that are many different ways you can get involved in this local ministry:

PRAY!! Whether you can be on campus at any point during the year or not, you can commit to praying for the teachers, staff, and students at Sam Houston Elem., as well as the families whose kids attend there.

VOLUNTEER!! There are several ways you can volunteer on campus at your convenience. We will be communicating throughout the year with the church about those various needs, but anyone who is on campus during the year will need a to complete a CISD background check here: apps.conroeisd.net/volunteer/

ADOPT!! Many people from our church have adopted a teacher or staff member at Sam Houston Elementary, but we are always looking for additional volunteers.  If you would like to adopt an educator on this campus for the coming school year, click on the button below for more information.

Local ministry opportunities like our partnership with Sam Houston Elementary School are a great way for our church to show the love of Christ to those in our community. Getting involved on campus as a mentor, tutor, or by adopting a teacher is a great way to become active in a transforming relationship. Praying for you as you seek God’s guidance on how you can be used in this ministry.
