We read the stories of the biblical Disciples, but what does it look like to follow Jesus when He’s no longer visible to us? That’s what Romans 12 is all about. We’re called to be living sacrifices, and this series will challenge us to stop being merely religious and start truly following Him.
Part 1: All on the Altar
In Old Testament Israel, worship meant offering animals on an altar in our place. The first 11 chapters of Romans show that Jesus made that obsolete. He is our once-and-for-all sacrifice. So how do we worship Him today? It’s more than showing up for an hour-long service once a week. True worship is offering Him everything. The rest of the chapter shows how to practically live as a living sacrifice.
