All we know about Ananias is this story, in which he brings physical sight to Saul of Tarsus. But he does more than that; he lets him know that he is forgiven by Christ and welcomed into a new family. Just the two words “brother Saul” were more healing than we can imagine. When we see broken people, it’s God’s invitation to speak healing words to them, too.

If we are the Temple where redemption happens, what is our plan to draw people to Him? The answer is to relearn an ancient, almost forgotten practice: Hospitality.
