The Power of Looking Ahead - Week 4
Part 4: It’s About Redemption
Abraham must have wondered what God was thinking in commanding him to sacrifice Isaac. Isaac blessed the “wrong” son. Jacob also chose a son other than his eldest or his favorite to give the highest honor. And Joseph saw the future trajectory of his people very differently than it seemed to be going. The key to all of these stories is that “God will provide a lamb.” When we remember that God’s goal is always redemption, His direction in our lives makes more sense.
