Burying Bad Religion - Part 4
How Does Freedom Make Us Holy?
Bad religion produces pride, anger, fear, and guilt, but it doesn’t stop the flesh. The Gospel produces love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, etc. Note that the flesh has “works” and the Spirit has “fruit.” A fruit tree doesn’t try to bear fruit, it just happens. In the same way, keeping in step with the Spirit (aka abiding in Christ, John 15) bears fruit for Him. How do we keep in step with the Spirit?
